Shared Resources

The Shared Resources of the Abramson Cancer Center (ACC), also called Core Facilities, provide investigators with easy access to state-of-the-art research technology, equipment, technical support, data, and biostatistics services that would otherwise be too difficult or expensive for individual investigators or Programs to develop and maintain. The availability of the ACC Shared Resources significantly facilitates the ease with which cancer-related research can be conducted at Penn.

    The Genetically Altered Mouse Core (GAMC) provides a centralized service to efficiently produce infection-free transgenic, chimeric, and genome-edited strains of mice.

    The Genomic Analysis Core merges the DNA Sequencing and the Genomics Facility to provide an array of services for DNA sequencing and molecular profiling.

  • Human Immunology Core

    The Human Immunology Core supports clinical trials and immunology research with state-of-the-art immune assays, cellular products, and immunological expertise.

  • Metabolomics Core

    The Metabolomics Core provides state-of-the-art targeted and untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics services.

  • Small Animal Imaging Facility

    The Small Animal Imaging Facility is a Shared Resource providing advanced instrumentation and technical support to apply a broad range of imaging modalities to small animal models.

  • Stem Cell and Xenograft Core

    The Stem Cell and Xenograft Core integrates a viable tissue bank of normal human hematopoietic cells and hematopoietic malignancies with a full range of xenograft services.
